Dr. Shannon Allen is an Otolaryngologist with a passion for aesthetics, blending medical precision with artistic flair. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 2002 before attending medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, where her fascination with the human body as a beautiful machine began. After completing her surgical residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, Dr. Allen focused on head and neck surgery, practicing at MaineGeneral from 2013 until 2020, when she transitioned into the field of aesthetics.

Dr. Allen offers a unique approach to patient care, combining cutting-edge techniques like CO2 laser resurfacing with a deep commitment to natural, long-lasting results. Certified in a range of aesthetic treatments—from neuromodulators to scar camouflage—she tailors each plan to the patient’s individual goals, helping them look like the best version of themselves. With over 10 years of experience studying the efficacy and safety of fillers, Dr. Allen applies her knowledge to ensure that every treatment is both effective and safe. Her background as a medical illustrator has also given her a refined eye for detail, which she applies in her work to create subtle, natural improvements, always staying true to her oath to deliver treatments that provide real results, leaving her patients feeling confident and rejuvenated.

When she's not working, Dr. Allen is busy chasing after her 2-year-old, bringing the same care and sense of humor into motherhood that she applies to her practice. In her downtime, she enjoys painting in oils, a practice that naturally complements her aesthetic work by requiring the same patience and attention to detail, where thoughtful, gradual changes lead to balanced, lasting results.

A 2023 graduate of Aveda Institute in Augusta, Rachael is a licensed aesthetician with advanced medical aesthetics training and extensive hands-on experience in corrective, technology-based treatments.

Rachael has spent over a year in a clinical medical aesthetics setting performing advanced laser and RF treatments, body contouring procedures, and corrective microneedling services. She worked extensively with medical-grade skincare systems, including ZO Skin Health, hydroquinone-based pigmentation protocols, and professional retinol guidance, strengthening her foundation in corrective treatment planning and long-term skin health support.

At MaineStay, she provides a variety of services including but not limited to customized facials, chemical peels, DiamondGlow treatments, laser hair removal, as well as lash and brow enhancements. She is currently expanding her focus in acne management through the Face Reality Acne Expert program and takes an education-centered approach to helping clients achieve sustainable results.

As a certified Reiki I practitioner, Rachael thoughtfully integrates relaxation-based nervous system support into select treatments to enhance comfort and recovery. Her goal is to deliver safe, effective results while creating an empowering experience where every client feels informed, confident, and genuinely cared for.

Denise is a licensed esthetician who graduated in 2011 from Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook. She is also a 2016 graduate from CoolSculpting University and a top provider in the State for that treatment. Denise was named the top HydraFacial Provider in Maine in 2020 and has continued her education through other skin regimen programs to stay up to date with current trends in the esthetic field. She has been an employee of Maine Laser Skin Care for 13 years.

Denise takes the time to assess each client’s individual skincare needs and helps to educate them about the most effective products that will benefit them for long-term skin improvement and health. Denise prides herself on providing each of her clients with unique customized treatments that leave them feeling beautiful and refreshed.

Denise specializes in Diamond Glow Facials, HydraFacial, Microneedling, and Chemical Peels. She is also a Certified Technician in CoolSculpting, Pelleve, and TED (Hair Restoration Treatment).

Denise resides in Oakland with her husband, Ben, and their Labrador Retriever Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys landscaping, cycling, kayaking, and golf.

Amber French serves as the Office Manager at MaineStay Skin Care, where she plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless, patient-centered experience.  With a strong foundation in medical settings and a background spanning aesthetics, wellness, and practice operations, Amber brings a unique blend of clinical understanding and thoughtful leadership to the practice.

Working closely with providers and staff, Amber helps support daily clinical flow, patient coordination, and behind-the-scenes systems that allow the office to run smoothly and efficiently.  Her approach is rooted in professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail, ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Outside the office, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, supporting local Maine businesses, and continuing her education in wellness and holistic care.  Her passion for lifelong learning and community connection reflects the heart of MaineStay’s mission:  The science of beauty perfected.

Heidi is a highly skilled permanent makeup and paramedical tattoo artist at MaineStay Skin Care, known for her meticulous attention to detail and compassionate, patient-centered approach.  With a professional background in dental hygiene, Heidi brings a strong foundation of clinical precision and safety into every service she provides.

Heidi holds dual state licensure in both micropigmentation and body tattooing, allowing her to offer a wide range of cosmetic, paramedical, fine-line, and micro tattoo services.  She completed advanced cosmetic tattoo training in both Maine and Utah, giving her a diverse skill set, and a thoughtful, customized approach tailored to each client’s individual goals.

Passionate about helping clients feel confident and empowered, Heidi believes in enhancing natural beauty while honoring each person's unique story. In 2024, she expanded her services to include fine-line and micro tattoos, further blending artistry with intention, helping clients feel just as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
